Government ministers back the small business owner

Government ministers have given their support to those running their own businesses or seeking to do so.

The politicians were speaking to mark the success of the recently-held

Global Entrepreneurship Week, which celebrated the spirit of business people.

Among those speaking out was Secretary of State for Business Vince Cable, who said: “This year, there were a record number of 4.8 million SMEs in the UK. That is welcome news, and we need to continue encouraging entrepreneurial spirit amongst people of all ages so they can turn their ideas into businesses.”
