So where do you find the money to start a business?
Ask any business person to name their biggest challenge and they will probably identify difficulties accessing the funding needed to develop products and services.
Responding to that concern, the Government has launched a £200 million programme to help up to 26,000 of England’s brightest businesses.
GrowthAccelerator, which is available for companies with potential for rapid and sustainable growth, is a partnership between the private sector and Government which will see business experts working with companies to identify and overcome the barriers they face.
The work will focus on issues such as securing finance, commercialising innovation and developing leadership and management capability.
As well as coaching, GrowthAccelerator fast-tracks clients to providers of business advice such as UK Trade and Investment, professional advisers and networks such as Angel Investors.
